Minigathering Updates?

Howdy Hi Famiiy~

our little family over here in Kona Paradise were hoping for an update regarding that previously mentioned *mini-gathering*?

This'll be our first Thanksgiving off the mainland, and we were hoping to share heart energy.

    Awesome, it will be great to see you. The minigathering Friday November 23 is still on for champagne ponds. If this is anything like our previous mini-gatherings, it will be very sweet and intimate.

    Please come! We still need some sort of rain canopy... also bring your acoustic musical instruments, food to share, and warm clothing/rain gear. This will be rain or shine, so don't come unprepared. Last time we did go literally all night, so you may want to bring blankets.

    Unfortunately, there is a prominent woman's circle happening that night which will draw away my wife, and we will each get one baby.
    It is also "Buy Nothing Day" so some people will be showing solidarity against the war by not shopping or even driving.

    Some people are talking about a scout campout in Kohala, Saturday, the next day.

      Well Family~ after much discussion, we decided we aren't as prepared as we'd like to be to come on over from such a long way.

      All our camping stuff is still waiting to make it over here, and we don't have any musical instruments. :(

      I'm hoping that we have it more together for the next one...

      wow, thanks for the detailed information about champagne ponds, metta! i was thinking it was farther north, and unfortunately i won't be able to make it down there friday, as i'm picking up a friend at the airport in kona saturday, and then to puna saturday afternoon...boohoo...

      i do, however, look forward to seeing the ponds another time, perhaps next full moon...the honu are out every full moon? and are there mini-gatherings on upcoming full moons besides this one? is this also the site proposed for the january gathering?

      i hope this information is helpful for others, and that you all have an amazing time...

        mini-gatherings thus far have not been promoted on the internet, mostly spreading by word of mouth... no, this is emphatically not the site of the January gathering... definitely not suitable for a large group of people to camp undisturbed for two weeks, and way too close to civilization.
